When I went on this tour I immediately thought of Captain Picard travelling in an Arco Car with Data and Worf in the Star Trek movie ‘Nemesis’.

The two-hour, 25-kilometre drive through the desert to a Bedouin village was incredible and well worth the price of around €100.
In December 2024, I took the tour with a friend, a combination of spider car, quad bike and jeep. We found the night-time return trip to the camp particularly exciting. The local driver, who knew the area well, used GPS to guide us safely back to the starting point of the tour. Without our guide, we would have spent the night in the desert.
The combination is designed as a day tour for ‘package tourists’, including lunch or dinner at the camp and a dance performance.
Even more exclusive and something for ‘real’ adventurers and action lovers is the more expensive two-hour tour with faster Spider Cars.
