Nile. This vibrant Arab city should be on the bucket list of anyone visiting the Land of the Pharaohs. The city\u2019s unique location on the Nile makes it the \u2018Pearl of Egypt.\u2019<\/p><p>The best way to explore the city is from the water. I recommend a combination of a felucca sailing trip and a motorboat ride. The ideal starting point for this little Nile cruise is the Pyramisis Island Resort &#8211; one of the most beautiful hotels in Aswan. I love staying there myself.<\/p><p>The sailboat takes you to small uninhabited islands in the Nile, where you can watch waterfowl.<\/p><p>The motorboat ride heads north, passing between the main island of Elephantine and Lord Kitchener Island. This offers a fantastic view of the city and the sand dunes on the other side of the river.<\/p><p>This time, I enjoyed this private Nile experience with Sheemy. He\u2019s already organized quite a few tours and excursions for me in and around Aswan, such as to the world-famous Abu Simbel Temple, which is located about 300 km southwest of Aswan.<\/p><p>I
