Night ride to the pyramids at sunrise
Though being a ‘horse rookie’, Kimo easily convinced me on my first visit to Giza to experience the sunrise right in front of the pyramids on the back of a four-legged friend.
At 2.30 in the morning, he was standing outside my accommodation with a beautiful Arabian mare. I felt like the proverbial ‘prince on a white horse’. After a brief introduction, we set off along the night-time paths, and so I experienced the pyramids in the first light of day.
That moment will always remain etched in my memory.
If you’d also like to experience the sunrise at the pyramids, I’d be happy to put you in touch with Kimo. As a semi-Bedouin, he’s an excellent rider who uses his experience to gently teach beginners the basics of riding. Sure enough, Kimo is also happy to accompany experienced riders into the desert.
P.S.: Riding clothes are available on site if required. And, of course, this wonderful excursion is also suitable for ‘princesses’. Day trips on horseback to the pyramids can also be arranged.
